Sweet bread from two year old sweet bread starter

After 2 years in the deep freeze I got my sweet bread starter to kick in. Took two weeks and three feedings but now its bread time. Made 3 loafs this morning.

1 cup of bread starter out of the freezer

Mixing in the flour and sugar for a feed.

Got some bubbles happening, not enough. Needs more feedings.

There we go now its kicking in.

Fresh bread.....house smells wonderful

I am amazed at the finished product. after seeing this it has given me the urge to start feeding my starter again.

That does look good Devo.

I did not know you could freeze starters, I keep mine going in the fridge.

Yes you can even dehydrate it if you keep the dehydrator temp 95 F.

Takes a lot more patients to revive but it has been done.

Had to renew my starter so I made a loaf in my clay bread pan. Turned out good this time now that I have the temp and time pegged down. 350 F for 30 min. and than take the top off (remember to wear a mitt) for another 7 min. Done

Well just for sh*t and giggles I wanted to try this out for some time now. I had bought some of the black plastic stuff thats probably made from all the things that are not good for us. Its those BBQ mat's that are good to 500 F degrees. I bought them for doing shrimp on the gasser so they won't fall through the grate. Any ways turns out you can make bread on them. I had enough dough left over for two small loafs. I formed them into loaf as best I could and put some shredded cheese on top. They turned out pretty darn good.
