Watch those grocery store butcher prices!

Talk about anything here as long as it is not against the rules.

This is the week to watch the prices closely. One of our local store is offering whole pork loins for 1.25USD. Most of the sell-by dates of fresh turkey have been 25-26+27 nov. Whole fresh hams are offered at 1.49.

I think that I am too close to the city. Ham hocks and lamb shanks are gourmet food here.

Wow ol' timer, I know just how you feel. I live several miles south and overlookin' the city - back in the trees... you know... the boondocks... and I still feel crowded! Trouble is, we're so high I can't remember what a "lawn" is. I think it is something under the 12 feet of snow in my front yard! And yes, DaveZac is about to make OB from shanks. Now that IS INDEED gourmet food!
I'd just like to know if Maz has ever seen snow? If not, I'll gladly mail you some! Sometimes it seems like we get only three seasons: July, August and... Winter!

Best Wishes,

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably needs more time on the grill! :D
