For the second or third time the burner on/in my grill rusted some extra holes into it . This time I decided to try and make one that might last a little longer. Here is my new copper gas burner. Image
And a shot with the fire going. Image

Ross,
It will be interesting to see how the copper holds up. How did you put it together? It seems that solder would melt out.

The solder is Harris Blockade silicon alloy solder for the AC industry. Have to heat the tubing to a full red heat before the solder will melt.

Ross,

It will be interesting to see how the copper holds up, I read up a bit on the solder and it should be good.

Same problem here with the gas grill burners, they corrode very quickly. Lately I have been storing my grills in the workshop and that has helped to slow down corrosion.
