Chili Mania 2012
Post

Well my wife and I entered a Chili tasting contest, in Edgerton, WI. It was my wife's recipe and I was her assistant. This was the first contest we have ever entered so it was new to us. It was great, everyone was very nice and helpful. There were teams there as far away as Texas, North Carolina and Iowa. There were two different groups of Chili you could enter CASI which is Chili wilthout beans or fillers and Traditional which you could add beans. We did both. We did not place at all in the CASI but we placed in the top 20 out of 64 teams in the Traditional. We were pretty excited considering we just did it for fun. We called out team Toe breaker because my three year old wanted to play Superman off the couch and my wife broke her toe catching him.
Here is my wife having fun cooking

Scott you ol' rascal! You're having waaaayyyyyy too much fun!

What a neat thing to do. Congrats on placing too. Your wife is lovely. I remember when your baby was born... I just can't believe it's been three years. I'll be watching for your chili recipe to be published in some national magazine! Be sure to give your wife our best regards! Thanks for posting.
Best Wishes,
Chuckwagon
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably needs more time on the grill!
