Homemade Sausage Making

I have the opportunity to get some "cut offs" from a 42" pipeline(north leg of Keystone) that is going nearby. A cutoff is defined as under 10 ft.(3.3 meters). My cost is the fuel to pick it up, about 4 miles away, with a loader ready to load me. I intend to build a 6'(2.75m) hog roaster, with a rotisserie and a counterbalanced lid, an upright smoker of the same diameter off of one side, and on the far side, a fire box to provide heat and smoke from the red willow wood that we have here in abundance. Above all, it will provide weekends of entertainment for family and friends, and other cooking events. It will be on legs with caster wheels from a mechanics tool box to carry it and move it around. My cost to build it will be bringing a couple of cutoffs to my welder friend and supply the wobbly pop. What a deal!!! Judging by what the end weight will be, I will probably have to install pilings under a concrete pad to hold the contraption above ground!!

Probably need to decide where it will go and build a concrete foundation for it. Sure sounds like a deal though.

The caster wheels you intend using won't be strong enough. Lash out and buy some decent large and wide ones, most caster wheels I have used over the years are p-ss weak and collapse whenever it is inconvenient.
Build it to last and your grandkids will thank you.

Do you have a "Tractor Supply Store" near ? They have big, strong wheels.
