Extended equilibrium brining of pork

This is a photo of my daughter and her unique method of brining pork. For lack of a better word I'll call it extended equilibrium brining and its 100% natural. 
I guess all creatures need a bit of beach time now and then. I'm currently in Montreal, battling the ice and snow.
