Hi everyone, I am looking for a accurate 20 lb capacity digital food scale for weighing larger items. I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions? What are the NTEP approved scales? These scales seem more expensive.

My concern with a scale would be the size of the tray or pan. I have an old double beam baby scale that will go to 30 pounds but it is a weighted beam balance. But consider the physical size of a twenty pound turkey when you are looking ar a scale.

If you are not to be using it for trade then accuracy is a relative thing and a five pound bag of flour could be used as a standard.

Hey Scott,
Click on Hyde Park on our index page (home page) and go to "References And Resources". Slide down to "Scales" and you'll find a knockout company that has top notch equipment for the right price.
Best Wishes,

I'm very happy with this unit I got from Cabelas and it happens to be on sale right now for almost half price, it's very accurate also. RAY
