I use most of my "ham" stock for making split pea soup. When I make bean soup I like to use sausage in it. Now that i am making sausage I will try a variety of sausages in the bean soup.
I try to go into winter with at least a dozen 1 1/2 pint jars of pea soup and bean soup plus the poultry soup base and many jars of stock.

I am once again impressed Ross, how you use all the left overs.
Oh sure, Bubba! And just look at his pit fire! He's even smoldering part of his neighbor's roof!
What you can't see in the photo is Ross hiding in the bushes rubbing his hands together, chanting, "Burn, burn, you little devils... before the cops get here"!
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably needs more time on the grill! :D

 Could that be drift-wood from the recent floods? Neighbor's roof drift-wood?
