For those of us who have the land and facilities to raise our own "sausage not the hoof", this was a favorite breed of the American pioneers.

Even with the floppy ears and curly tail I'd be hard-pressed just to let one in the crosshairs walk away, they don't seem to posess a "live long and prosper" kind of color. They look to be fit for everything from sausage to my favorite ingredient in split-pea soup! RAY
