Grinder Knife Sharpening Tutorial

I'm not the best videographer, but I gave it a shot!
In the following videos I show how I go about sharpening the grinder knife and truing up the grinder plates as well.

A strange thing happens when I open the video by clicking the pix. The photobucket site opens and my computer locks up. To escape from that I must restart the computer.

Hey, hey, Buzzard Cranker! Nice videos. Great work. Very clear and easy to understand. Thanks for sharing that information pal, lots of folks will use your videos.
Now don't get me wrong... I'm certainly not criticizing. I'm with you all the way as far as "truing" the fit goes. You've "mated" the two contact surfaces perfectly. Now, are you going to sharpen the beveled cutting edge? Hmmmm.... enquiring minds want to know.

Thanks so much for spending the time to video the process, Charlie. I found a hand crank grinder for 20$ that needs some rehab and this is just the ticket! (Not as good as your $5 deal, but close enough for government work.)

Glad all of you find it interesting.
I did notice that my video skills lack a bit and I don't always get the piece I'm talking about in the shot, but, this was my first attempt at this. Fun to do as well!

If the body and the handle are in good shape, you can play with the plates and knife and not be out too much if you have to replace them.
What size and style of blade? Pics?

Hi Charlie,
It's a tin plated Chop-Rite #10 with two plates that looks like it was never used. Unfortunately, I left my camera in Frederick this weekend (little guy testing for his red belt) and won't be getting it back for a week or so. But I'll post pics when I do.
Meanwhile, I'm going to give your sharpening method a shot!
