Capital! Just Capital!

(Oooo boy

)
Shucks pard, now you know why we still wear Colt .45's on our hips out here in the cow critter country. Yeeeee Hawwwww! Oh boy! The
Musca Domestica...Yup, the thing has a face that looks like a dime's worth of dog meat. And they are "peskier" than El DuckO! Shucks, flies are uglier than new-sheared sheep!

We just aim carefully right between the eyes, then let 'em have it!
Carry on, Sawhorse!
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably needs more time on the grill!

A quarter inch wide rubber band snipped to be a single strand is quite effective. Had a buddy in the USAF said in Casablanca that you always pick the raisins out of the bread.

There's an annual Mosquito Festival in Clute, Texas. Word is, one landed at the municipal airport and they loaded 400 pounds of fuel on board before they found out that its credit card had already been maxed out.
I think they now use antiaircraft fire from the local National Guard artillery unit to bring 'em down. ...saves time, and supports our defensive capability. It oughta work on flies too.
Hey, CW, wanna move this to the "Tall Tales" thread?

Hey Ducko, I hear the skeeters down your way are packin' West Nile Virus, just like the ones in my neck of the woods. That stuff is no joke, gotta be careful these days. I found a dead dove in our courtyard a few weeks back, looked like it had a heart attack. West Nile. RAY

In Australia that Bug-a-Salt gun would not be sufficient to kill flies.
You would go bankrupt buying semi-loads of salt and it wouldn't kill them anyway.
We breed them tough down-under.
Cheers,
Jan.

In the Rocky Mtn. West, we sometimes leave our .45 Colt hoglegs holstered and go to our saddle carbine Winchester 30-30's. It depend on whether or not the flies are carrying off our SMALL CHILDREN in their BEAKS! Yes, yes... we've learned over time that if we "crease their tailfeathers" first, they will slowly lower the child to safety before taking on another lead slug from a lever-action rackatee!
