Hey all
Checking in from NW Vermont. All is well here, but can`t say the same for the folks south of us. Folks in central VT got hit pretty hard with 50 - 70 mile an hour winds. The problem here, we have several brooks, streams and rivers here, that can explode into a raging river in no time, coming down from the mountains with heavy rains, in no time. In our location (where I live) we got 4" of rain, the folks in central VT received 7 - 8" in one day. Keep in mind, the rain and the rivers are running down hill into a town or village.
The local news reported that during the summer, we average 1" a month of rain.
It has been reported, that this is the worst flooding seen here in VT, in the past 80 yrs.
The wife and I prepared for the hurricane, I got the generator fueled up and ready, the wife made hurricane chocolate chip cookies, we gathered flash lights, and picked up everything around the yard. In the end, didn`t have to start the generator, Tammy`s hurricane cookies where a hit and all gone

Today the sun is shining and you would never guess we had bad weather yesterday.
