Electronic Meat Thermometer

Can someone suggest the most RELIABLE electronic meat thermometer? Went through 2 in 3 years, an Acrite and a Taylor and reviews all seem to have problems with these Chinese made junk, probes mainly the culprit. If there is an alternative and if a manual works better I am open for suggestions. Used the old meat probe for years but I like the convenience of just observing from the outside without disturbing the cooking/smoking process.

I use a long shaft analog and stick it through a hole in the smoker and into the meat.

I started with a Taylor 3 yrs ago, still works but not that accurate. Thermopens have a good reputation. I have two Mavericks I like. My latest is an ET-732, it comes with two probes, one for the meat and one for pit, or grill temp. It has a remote that reads up to 300 feet. I really like it I can be in the house doing other chores and still keep an eye on my grill temp and meat temp. Smokin Don

You can get various probes for them that can handle high oven temperatures and they are very accurate. This one only displays in Celcius but there are ones that display both C & F scale.
