This was my fathers which had been sitting at an Uncles after my grandfather passed away years ago It took two of us just to move it. Motor is 5 1/2 hp. Most of the grinding plates have disappeared.

Holy Cow Oneills! Five and a half horses? Geeeeze, you could do double duty with that thing.

Just take it out back and use it as a wood chipper for making mulch out of tree limbs.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably needs more time on the grill!

Hey CW, that's a brilliant idea. Have a huge stack of apple wood to mulch up but no mulcher

How much electricity is required to run this machine? Do you have complete set of this machine in workable condition? Where this type of machine can be found from online source?

760 watts per horsepower. I rather doubt that you could push meat fast enough to draw more than 3 or 4 hp.

One NFL linebacker is .1 horsepower.

on a hand cranked #12 you could run a bunch of meat in an hour.

To me it takes much longer to wash the grinder parts, then to grind the meat.
I also cut the meat much smaller then you can see on the video, because I mix it with the spices before grinding.
Some people grind twice, after that the meat needs very little mixing.
(Of course it depends on what kind of sausage one makes.)
I hate to use my mixer for the same reason.

There is some trick in that video.
They cut the meat smaller for the second grinder, the so called big bite one.

Its actually 5.4 hp, 240 volt, 50 hz plugged into a 10 amp socket. The lights dim for a second when 1st switching on. The brand name is MBL inside a triangle. Its a bit of an overkill but after using the little mincer i have a welcome addition. Have 4 plates & knives which i have sharpened, but will eventually get a couple more

You will only find this mincer 2nd hand . It is approx 50 years old. My father got it from an old butcher shop
